🏠 The Space $2,569/mo. - Not my fault, that's just how much the place costs!
Authentic slice of Tribeca history — a warm, character-filled artist’s loft in one of Manhattan’s most sought-after (and yes, pricey) neighborhoods. This is not a sterile high-rise or snooty uptown address; it’s the real deal: creative, comfortable, and full of heart.
• Furnished room (flexible — can adjust as preferred)
• Full-sized adjacent closet
• Located on the 2nd floor of an historic 1898 landmark building (only five units total)
• 13 ft ceilings, exposed character, 2,000 sq. ft. tunnel-style loft
• Heat included; shared electric and household supplies
• One large bathroom with classic footed tub and fantastic water pressure
• New, fully equipped kitchen featuring a Bertazzoni professional range, air fryer, microwave, and toaster oven
• WIFI, washer/dryer, air conditioning, ceiling fans
• Fire + CO₂ alarms, sprinklers, two egress exits, and video intercom
• Elevator building (two steps up from street level)
💫The Vibe
This is a lived-in, loved, and laughter-filled home—clean, warm, and a bit “old school.” I’ve been here for 45 years, through every reinvention of Tribeca, and can confirm: it’s easy to live here. LGBTQ+ friendly and everyone else-friendly.
If you’re kind, honest, low-maintenance, and unpretentious — you’ll fit right in.
(My last flatmate, François, was all that — we still see each other - only now in Paris.)
🌆 The Neighborhood
Tribeca’s “premier street,” full of life and history. You’ll be surrounded by:
• Cafés, taverns, galleries, theaters
• Iconic restaurants and down-to-earth hangouts
• Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Target, Gourmet Garage, 24 hr delis
• "Ghostbusters" Fire Dept, NYPD Pct. 1 on corner
• Hudson River Park two blocks away: dog runs, bike paths, pickleball, kayaking, concerts
• Close to Soho, Chinatown, and major subway lines (1, 2, 3, 6, A, C, E, N, Q, R, W, J, Z)
• Hollywood East star gazing. Major people watching locations, Tons of children.
[Could be a more diverse neighborhood, tho.]
Length of stay depending on what your needs are, & if it works between us.

Thanks for looking.
About Me
I’m a retired performer (for context: first woman to have an HBO comedy special, back in 1990). Outgoing, progressive, funny, and respectful of others, though definitely a night person. Make bldg's loading dock into a porch - a rare outdoor space in Manhattan and great for cocktails. I keep music on often, vacuum regularly, and expect shared participation in keeping the space tidy.
• Shared utilities (ConEd + Internet)
• 1-month security deposit
• Month-to-month agreement with one-month notice either way
• No credit checks or background checks - we meet, talk, and see if it’s a fit.

This loft has a lot of stories, and it’s ready for a new one.
Can't have a cat unfortunately. Asthma.
My small (13 lb) dog Lily reigns peacefully and politely.
