We are a covid conscious household. This means that we mask in indoor public spaces, we test and mask in the apartment if we have symptoms or known exposure, we keep a communal supply of masks and tests for apartment use, and generally communicate with one another about risk. We are looking for someone who genuinely aligns with these practices. In other words, we're not looking for someone taking precautions just to make us happy; but someone who is independently-regulated in their approach to being covid cautious. You don't have to have the exact same precautions as us but we would appreciate someone who has awareness and communication around covid.
We’re looking for a kind, chill, and conscientious housemate. Queer, BIPOC strongly preferred. OK with sound as one of the tenants is a dj and musician, and aside from that it's an older brownstone - sound travels! Full-time work-from-home is not ideal. No couples. No dogs, cats negotiable.
If you’re interested in the room, and the vibe sounds like a good fit, please send us a note. Tell us a little about yourself, what your general schedule is like, what you’re looking for in your home space, and how you handle COVID risk.
We’re two queer folks in our early thirties. We love living here and are hoping to find someone who will too! One of us is a Black feminist, Brooklyn-native, writer, dj, and teaching artist (any pronouns). The other roommate works in the nonprofit world and enjoys running and crafting (she/they). We’re friendly, conscientious roommates. We keep a tidy space and communicate well. Sometimes our schedules line up and we’ll end up spending the evening in the kitchen, cooking & eating together; sometimes we’ll recognize a need for space & quiet and we’ll let each other do our own thing. That attunement and consideration is important to us, and part of why we work well living together! When we’re home, we often spend a lot of private time in our rooms—working on art or writing, playing music, reading/watching things, winding down, etc.
