I am a published author and editor who mentors writers in the early stages of drafting their books.

My developmental editing combines a close reading of the manuscript with thoughtful feedback on character, conflict, and pacing. I also help writers clarify narrative voice, strengthen dialogue, sharpen scene structure, and identify revision strategies that bring greater depth and momentum to the manuscript.

About this Lister

In addition to being a novelist and short story writer, my academic training is in English at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A native New Yorker now based in Nashville, Tennessee, I work with writers developing early drafts of book manuscripts.

I currently mentor and edit a first-time romance novelist, and I previously edited an early draft of a historical novel that went on to attract a literary agent and sell internationally.

I especially enjoy the collaborative process of mentoring writers—helping a manuscript realize its potential while the writer grows in craft and confidence.

Background and Expertise

I had my own writing workshop business for several years in Nashville. I have coached international business professionals in English in over twenty countries, supporting them in achieving their career goals. Several of my editing clients went on to get representation and to publish their books.
