This beautiful studio has been an amazing home for me over the last several years, but I'll be moving in with my partner and need to give it up.
The studio is on the 20th floor of an immaculately maintained high-rise building (The Parkline) on the east side of Prospect Park, with huge bright windows, in-unit laundry, A/C and heat, a big kitchen, countertop seating, and a massive bathroom. The building has door staff around the clock to receive packages and greet visitors. Everyone in the building is so kind and I have been proud to call this place home.
The building itself has great amenities, like an (actually good) gym, a rooftop deck with BBQs, coworking spaces, a movie room, rentable party/event spaces, an enclosed dog run, and a kids' playroom. Anytime I've had a maintenance issue (which has only happened a couple times) I've had it fixed within 24 hours. The super is incredibly nice and responsible.
You'd be taking over my lease, which ends July 31, with the option to renew for a year or two years. The unit is rent stabilized, so the cost of the apartment would only go up by about $50 if you renew. Electricity is not included, but usually only costs about $100.
The unit would be unfurnished, but there are a few things I can leave behind if you want them, like a mobile kitchen island and custom blackout blinds (very helpful for the summer sun and keeping it pitch black overnight).
It's about a 5 minute walk to the Prospect Park B/Q line, which is super convenient for commuting. There's also a Citi Bike dock right outside, great bars/restaurants, grocery stores, and of course, the park!
I'm a 33-year-old graduate student who has lived here for the last 2+ years. I will be the person showing the apartment if you want to take a look before submitting an app.
You'll have to fill out an application with the building and submit a number of documents, such as:
- Proof of income
- Bank statement
- Tax returns
There's also a $20 application fee.
Cats and dogs are fine. There are some breed/size restrictions, but overall it's an exceedingly pet friendly building.
