We are looking for a responsible individual or couple to sublet our beloved 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom duplex in Bed-Stuy while we are traveling. Spanning the 4th and 5th floors (walk-up), the apartment feels like a quiet sanctuary above the city with two private outdoor spaces. Because the unit faces away from the street, it is incredibly quiet for NYC, offering a peaceful retreat just 30 minutes from Manhattan via the J train (1 block away).

Dates are flexible but if you are subletting less than a month the weekly rate is $1000. Minimum stay is two weeks.

THE VIBE & LIGHT The apartment receives beautiful natural light throughout the day. The decor is playful and design-forward (lots of books, art, and color), creating an inspiring environment for creatives.

Lower Level (Living/Work): Features a dedicated dining/work table with high-speed WiFi, a full bathroom, and sliding doors opening onto a private balcony—perfect for morning coffee.

Kitchen: Fully equipped for cooking, including a dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, and an espresso machine.

Upper Level (Sleep/Relax): Features a comfortable Queen bed, a second full bathroom, and access to a large, private roof terrace—ideal for sunset drinks or reading.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES We have many plants that bring life to the space. We are looking for a tenant who loves plants and is happy to water/care for them during their stay. We are very organized and hope to find someone who will treat our home with the same care.

We are a couple of artists/scholars. We travel a lot for research and for creative projects. We have lots of books that you are welcome to read. The space is simple but carefully decorated with lots of art.
