A rare duplex apartment in Bushwick with full amenities, including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, balcony, and roof access. I’ve lived here for 8 years on a quieter, residential street in Brooklyn. I share the space with a friendly ginger cat, Chai, who warms up to people quickly and may ask for a snuggle or playtime. Wi-Fi and utilities are not included in rent. Move-in is November 15, sublet until June 30 with the option to extend pending lease renewal.

The apartment gets plenty of natural light, with beautiful window views during the greener months. I’m pretty relaxed about cleaning, but expect shared accountability for things like dirty dishes, perishable food, and bathroom upkeep.

The neighborhood is conveniently located—about a 10-minute walk to the J or M line, and a 15-20 minute walk to central Bushwick restaurants. There are grocery stores and bodegas within walking distance.

The available room can be furnished or unfurnished, except for a bookcase and mirror, which I hope you’ll leave in the room. My bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, giving you extra privacy.

I'm 36 (she/her) and have called New York City home for almost 20 years. I studied at The New School, and before the pandemic, worked in beauty/wellness and event administration. I recently shifted into a career as an archivist after completing my grad studies at Pratt.

I’m not overly meticulous, but I do value mutual respect, cleanliness and good habits. To me, a home is a cozy sanctuary and I like hosting get-togethers every now and then. I’m looking for someone who shares my laid-back vibe, appreciates a peaceful space and enjoys the occasional dinner party.

I will be in Japan from October 9 - November 3. I am posting this ahead of time and will schedule in-person apartment tours when I return. Hopefully you're flexible and a November 15 move-in date works for you!
