🌳 🪟 18’x10’ room with two giant gorgeous windows overlooking oak trees (sunlight and privacy), decorative plasterwork ceiling, exposed brick fireplace, hardwood floors. Furnished. So much space. I work remotely and never feel cramped. ☀️
🚿The apartment has some landlord-special features (the kitchen floor is crooked, sinks drain slow, some of the paint jobs are sloppy), but it’s got 1.5 bathrooms, an in-unit washer dryer (‼️), and stainless steel appliances that always work.
👥The place has minimal common space and people work a lot, so the vibe is friendly but quiet, and we generally give each other space when we are at home. Roommates are mid 20’s-early 30’s, working. They are chill, artsy, queer/queer-friendly. 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
⭐️ Accessibility and Other Important Info⭐️
🏬The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. There are three steps to enter the building and then two flights to get up to the place.
💨 One of our neighbors smokes and the hallway often smells like smoke, but we have never had a problem with it getting into our place (in the apartment we’re fine with a little weed or vape but no 🚬).
🔈The building is about 8 units. The walls are thick and sound is well insulated from inside, but the block is busy and a few nights a month there is music late into the night from an (occasional) venue in the basement.
I’m going south to study poetry for a while
