I'm looking for someone to take over my lease. Harlem is a really special place in Manhattan. This apartment is very conveniently off the 1 subway line, so you can get downtown fairly quickly. The area is lively in the best way, with jazz clubs nearby, great soul food, and great people. Flexible move-in date that we can discuss, but must be moved in by August 1st.

- Option to purchase furniture in the room, offering 1 bed (mattress is 3 years old, pillows & sheets included) , 1 large shelf, desk, and chair

- 2 SE-facing windows that get lots of light, next to the fire escape, great views of the park and trees, and curtains for extra privacy
- Spacious shared living space and gets plenty of light during the day
- Apartment is 4BD/2BA; you will be living in one of the bedrooms and sharing a bathroom

- Pet-friendly apartment, currently with 3 cats. 2 of them primarily stay in the other roommate's room, while the other 1 roams the living room, she is very friendly and loves people

- The laundry and dryer are in the building's basement, and you will get a laundry card to make payments, no need to go to a separate laundromat
- Maintenance folks and super are quick, responsive, and kind

Location:
Let me say that this apartment's location has been my favorite~
- Right off the 1 line so you can get anywhere in the city with ease, it's so close you can see the subway entrance from your window
- There is a park immediately next to the apartment where jazz musicians often play in the park nearby, never so loud that it's disruptive though
- In the other direction, there is the Riverside State Park and Westside Highway, with great views of the Hudson River
- 10-minute walk away from Malcolm X Blvd, which has lots of soul food spots and fusion food to choose from

About This Lister

I've lived here for 3 years and work as a video editor at a non-profit.

There are 3 other tenants in their late 20s - early 30s. Two of them are Ph.D students, and the other works in design. They are responsible, clean, easygoing, and friendly.

They sometimes like to have communal dinners and watch Love Island together, and they are always down to make you a fun cocktail, but they won't ever pressure you to participate. They're the loveliest crew of creative, funny, and most intelligent people I know.
