Looking for someone to take my super cozy but also airy one-bedroom in Brooklyn Heights while I'm away. I would be SO happy if you could also water the (absolutely reasonable number of) plants just once or twice a week or so.

On the dates: I'd love to have someone take the apartment for most or all of that time, but am open to people who might want for a shorter period so don't hesitate to ask. Let me know what you're thinking, we can pro-rate depending on stay. The apartment is, alas, not available past the listed date.

About the apartment: is a pretty classic brownstone building in Brooklyn Heights, and the apartment faces back onto a mews row (so there's an *awesome* view, and it's super quiet). Just a block and a half from the promenade, and close to just about everything on a sleepy, leafy street.

It's a 4 minute stroll to pretty much every subway line you could want, and about 15 to the G if you have no choice and absolutely must go to Williamsburg.

The vibe is kind of 90's cowgirl chintz chic, a happy accident. Very clean and comfy!

Third floor walk up without a remote door buzzer-- it's old school New York that way. No laundry, but there is a fab laundromat that does wash and fold down the block.

All bills and wifi included (there is an AC unit!), and if you don't want to deal with cleanup (who does?) there will be a $120 fee to bring in a cleaner, but we can discuss your preferences.

About This Lister

I'm a journalist and will be traveling, so hoping to find a kindly plant sitter. I have been a tenant in this spot for four years, and it really is the best.

Please reach out with any questions!

Rental requirements

No pets, alas. And please no certified plant killers (those atoning with desire for improvement will be considered).

This is a pretty tight knit, family building, so looking for someone who is planning a low key few weeks in one of NY's most adorable and convenient neighborhoods. Almost everyone who has ever stayed at my apartment has moved to Brooklyn Heights afterwards-- it's that nice. Try it out!
