Great for one person or a couple, this thought-out pad is a block from Washington Square Park and has a double bed and fold-out sleeper couch. On the 14th floor of a classic NYC art deco building, large southern-facing windows let in tonnes of natural light and offer nice views of the city / World Trade Center. We moved the bed closer to the window, and in addition to feeling functional, it's been catching that Edward Hopper light.

There is fast wifi and a projector with Apple TV (no tv) and Sonos surround sound. Kitchen stocked with basics, including coffee grinder, Chemex, Beast blender, and sparkling water maker (no microwave). Wall lamps are on remote adjustable dimmers. The large living room window has screened portions that open to the breeze as well as an air conditioning unit. We also have variously sized fans and often use our quieter/silent favorites instead of the AC (this old NYC building can get warm during peak summer). Washing & drying machines are in the basement, and a drying rack lives under the couch. We also have a small dressing room with full-length mirror, standing/sitting desk for working (push-button adjustable), and yoga mat & accessories for stretching out. Our entry hallway features a large closet, a shoe rack, and access to our full bathroom, including a bathtub.

The 8th Street R/W train is just around the corner, Astor Place is a 5 min walk to catch the 4/6, and the A/C/E and B/D/F/M are all a short walk away. The apartment is in an elevator-equipped, doorperson building (and they are used to subletters). It's quiet for NYC thanks to sturdy construction, height from the street, and position near academic rather than residential NYU buildings.

We hope someone can enjoy this wonderful location while we're away. The walkability and access to the city are remarkable. Also hoping for visitors on board with keeping plants alive!
