Hello!
I'm looking for a place to call home, preferably starting August 1st to mid-August. However, I would consider an earlier start date for the right place, and potentially stay for more than one year if that works for all.
I am open to many possible living situations, including: living alone, with others, caretaking someone's space, and/or some kind of barter situation. I also have a lot of experience in intentional communal living, having lived the last three years as part of a women's interfaith residency program (WIRP) at the seminary where I just graduated from. I am also open to furnished or unfurnished, as I have few belongings.
My ideal space would be a mostly calm refuge from the intense residency work I will be engaged in. I like my space tidy and clean, and love a room with good light. Bonus would include an outdoor space of some kind, or even a fire escape. AND as a long-time New Yorker with many moves under my belt, I am flexible and open to unique situations and spaces. Looking to be surprised by that special fit.

Some personal narrative: I was adopted from Korea when I was one year old, and grew up in Oregon. I moved to NYC in 1997 and have lived here ever since. I was a single (co-)parent until my kid grew up and went to college, at which time I went back to school too.
And now, I'm in transition: I *just* graduated with my M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary, and will be starting my Chaplaincy / CPE residency at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in mid-August. I will be traveling most of the summer, and so am hoping to find something before mid-June.
(And my beloved kid, beside me in the photo, will start his senior year of college upstate this fall, and will be visiting me from time to time.)
At seminary, I did my fieldwork at Rikers Jail, mostly centering the care of the pregnant, postpartum, trans, and gender-non-conforming folks there. Healing justice and community care are important to me.
These days, I am enjoying long walks, Russian and Korean spa days, bike riding, and as many trips to the river and ocean as possible.
Thanks for reading!
