My house and garden is an oasis in Mexico City. It's been featured in the NYT, Domino Magazine and it's gone viral online via @homeworthy and @casitamx.

It was built in the 1930's and features handmade tile floors, ornate 13' plaster ceilings and a brand new chef's kitchen (5 burner Italian stove, drinking water filtration system, large separate pantry and dishwasher) and renovated bathrooms. There is also a new washer and dryer. The house has fiber optic wifi throughout. It has 3 bedrooms, an office and 2.5 bathrooms in the main house as well as a self contained small 1 bedroom apartment on the roof. There is a big terrace on 1st floor and two balconies off the studio. The sunset view on the roof is magical. The house also comes with a housekeeper who comes 3x a week (she's also a very good cook) and a gardener who comes 1x a month.

the house is in Roma Sur, one of the most charming neighborhoods in the city. It's adjacent to Roma Norte and La Condesa but just far enough away from the craziness (12 min walk to each). The street is tree lined and tranquil and the house itself is very quiet. There is an amazing 2x a week organic farmers market very close by as well as many great local bodegas, bars and independent cinemas.

One of the best features for me is the light filled art studio with a electric wheel and high fire kiln. There is also a very large room in the front of the house that I use as a private dining room, event space and by-appointment gallery.

I would love to find fellow artists/designers/writers who are looking to do a sabbatical and create something beautiful during their time here.
