We’re a couple working in child education and social work, ready and excited to put down long-term roots in Brooklyn. After years of saving, we’re finally in a position to buy our first home together, and we’re hoping the right place (and the right community!) finds us.

About Us
•A community-minded pair planning to start a family soon
•Stable combined income of $145–150K
•Excellent credit (780–810)
•Pre-approved for a mortgage and working with a buyer’s agent
•Flexible move-in timing; our current lease ends late April, so we can accommodate seller needs
•Pet-free

What We’re Looking For
•A 2+ bedroom co-op in Brooklyn, preferably Park Slope, Prospect Heights, South Slope, Windsor Terrace, west of Bed-Stuy, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Western edge of Crown Heights, PLG, Prospect Park South, northern Kensington, any neighborhood that borders Prospect Park (we're fairly open!)
•A place we can grow into as we start our family

About This Lister

Beatrix (she/her): I’m a social worker who pivoted into the work after more than a decade of experience in the education sector, where I’ve supported hundreds of students in defining and reaching their personal goals for college and beyond. I care deeply about helping others access opportunities. I’m looking for a welcoming place to live where I can continue my work and be part of a community.

Peter (he/him): Peter is the founder of The Midori Chef (you can check out his his website!). He’s a food educator with extensive experience in both culinary education and childcare. Many of his clients are based in Brooklyn, particularly in Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Carroll Gardens, and Park Slope. Ideally, we’re hoping to find a home that offers convenient access to these neighborhoods by bike.
