I’m subletting my cozy furnished one-bedroom apartment in Crown Heights, Brooklyn for the month of October and/or November. $2,600/month - includes electricity, wifi, and gas.
It's on the top floor of a brownstone. Street facing windows. Near the Nostrand A/C train and Franklin 2/3/4/5. Lots of restaurants, groceries, parks, bars, etc. close by. Community garden across the street. No laundry on site, but laundromat only a block away.
Full-sized bed. I'd put as many of my clothes in storage as you'd like so you have necessary closet space. No TV, but Sonos speaker and lots of books. Ideally you would keep my (low maintenance) plants alive by watering once a week during your stay. You wouldn't want to live with dying plants anyway, would you?
If interested, send me a message telling me about yourself, your situation, and any questions you may have. Will consider couples and animals (especially cats) if the energy is right. I know everybody says they're neat and tidy, but please actually be. This is my home and I would want any guest to treat it with care and respect.
Thanks for considering!
I'm a 34 year old writer/filmmaker. I've lived in Brooklyn for 11 years, the last 5 as a tenant in this apartment. I offer this sublet because I will be traveling abroad.
I've done 1-2 month sublets a number of times, they've all been positive experiences. I would be showing the apartment - either via video or in person. I have a great relationship with other tenants in the building and the landlord.
Simple sublet agreement and the month's rent to secure.
Case by case. Allows dogs and cats. More flex on cats, but will consider both.
