This is a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a classic Brooklyn brownstone. The bedroom is quiet, spacious, with a comfy queen bed. The main space includes an L-shaped couch & TV, workspace / home studio, and a full-size, well-equipped kitchen. The private backyard includes a fire pit and charcoal grill. Heat, water, and wi-fi are included. There's no laundry in building, but there's a quality laundromat around the corner.
Located in the historic, beautiful, tree-filled Bed-Stuy neighborhood (specifically, on the border between sub-neighborhoods Stuy Heights and Ocean Hill), my spot is a peaceful refuge, but also a great vantage point from which to visit the city. Great eats, bars, and parks are within walking distance. Please inquire for detailed recs!
It's a short walk (0.3mi) to the Ralph Ave C, and also close to the A at Utica (0.7mi), J at Halsey (0.7mi), and L at Bushwick-Aberdeen (1.0mi). Biking is a great way to get around Brooklyn, and there are two CitiBike stations 1 and 3 blocks away. Travel to/from JFK airport via train in 1 hour.
There are two steps down to get into the apartment space, so it's not ideal for wheelchair users.
I'm Will, a software designer who has lived in NYC for 12 years in this apartment for 3. I've put love and effort into making this space a cozy home. But I'm looking to be nomadic this winter, so I'm seeking a trustworthy person to take over while I'm away.
I have a cat Cookie, a sweet-natured 3yo tuxedo. If you're a cat lover, let's chat — she'd love to stay her home and make a new friend while I'm away. But if not, that's okay too — I can make other arrangements.
