Between Crown Heights and Bed-Stuy this apartment is perfectly situated on a gorgeous tree-lined street that’s far enough from any Main Street to not be loud but close enough for you to be able to walk to fun bars and restaurants. If you like to go on walks or ride a bike, we’re close to Prospect Park.
The apartment is in a low rise pre war walk up with original details still intact while offering the modern amenities we all covet: washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, roof access, and private storage in the basement. There will be three rooms becoming available over the course of the summer with the first being open on June 1. Each bedroom is unfurnished but fits full/queen size bed and a desk and has a closet. The living room/kitchen is an open format with two big windows facing maybe one of the tallest trees in Brooklyn. A favorite activity is people watching and listening from the couch as our neighborhood is lively but not noisy.
I am a woman in my early 30s working in publishing. I’ve lived here for two years and enjoy exploring all that New York has to offer, but you can also find me lounging in the living room happily chatting away with anyone who is also in the space. Because I work in publishing, my space is filled with books, both work related and not, and I’m always more than happy to talk to someone about the book that I’m reading or working on. I prefer to keep the space tidy and encourage open communication between roommates.
This is a perfect apartment for someone who also lives fairly quietly, though an occasional holiday/dinner/birthday party is enjoyed.
The rooms will open up June 1st, July 1st, and August 1st. The new lease starts in August and I am looking for people who are interested in signing the lease with me. You will need to show proof of funds or have a guarantor.
Rent is $1175 per room and the safety deposit is one month’s rent.
