Move-in: June 1, 2026
Rent: $1111
Utilities (electric, gas, wi-fi): ~ $180-220/month per person
Hi! We’re a pair of sisters looking to fill a room in our apartment which includes a dishwasher and in-unit laundry. Each room has an A/C-heater unit. We are looking for someone interested in signing a lease together from 06/01/2026 - 05/31/2027.
Room size is about 8'0 x 10'1 and is located in the front of the apartment (street facing) next to the living room and kitchen. The room receives a lot of direct sunlight but does not have a closet. The room will be unfurnished so we’ve provided a few photos of the space with different sized beds from a previous roommate (pale blue/grey duvet - full) and our current roommate (green duvet - queen).
Our favorite aspect of the apartment is that it gets a ton of natural light which has been great for our house plants (we welcome anyone wanting to bring plants in and contribute to collective care of them). The shared living space is a bit tight but we've made it work. Our preferred roommate is a woman identifying individual who is LGBTQ+ friendly. No pets allowed unfortunately :(
Transportation:
C train: Kingston-Throop ~ 6 min walk
A train: Nostrand Ave ~ 15 min walk; Utica Ave ~ 11 min walk
3 train (Manhattan bound): Kingston Av ~ 13 min walk
Buses: B15, B43, B65
We'd like to find a roommate interested in making the space feel like home and is comfortable with living communally (e.g. sharing kitchenware & spices, splitting expenses for essential household items, dividing chores). We want our home environment to be one where everyone is conscious of being clean and communicative. We enjoy sharing meals together on occasion but understand if you'd prefer to do your own thing! The apartment is a chill space and we have no issues with having guests over but not ideal if you like to host huge parties.
If interested, send a message telling us about yourself and include what you're looking for in a living situation :)

Rora is also in her late 20s who moved back to NY last summer after spending roughly half a decade living in Germany and Spain. She was teaching literature in Bed-Stuy but will be teaching physics the upcoming school year. She’s an avid reader who loves to travel and stay in shape.
