We are looking for a summer sublet roommate for June 1st - August 31st or stay for the full year. We are also open to Sept 1st start candidates.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1 office.
The bedroom that is open is a cozy third-floor bedroom with a window, hardwood floors, and a closet.
The apartment is a 10 min walk to Union Square and an 8 min walk to Gilman Square (Greenline T), and has close access to 93 and other major highways.
The apartment shares a washing machine and dryer (coin-operated) with the downstairs neighbors.
Accessibility info: There are stairs outside the entrance to the apartment and stairs in between each floor.
Utilities and Details: I can share more about heat, electricity, and WiFi utilities via email or on a phone call. The landlord requires a rental application. Cats/pets are allowed with approval by the landlord.
About You: You are looking for a home for the summer or for the next year or maybe longer. You value communication and creating a clean and harmonious living space. You are down to hang out at the house, but you are also independent. Bonus points if you play an instrument, are in grad school, or work in the climate space. You are interested in being a part of a community and potentially hosting things together.
About the House: The house is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. There is a big kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. There is also a front porch and a back porch. There is nice natural sunlight and hardwood floors throughout. The neighbors downstairs are a couple I get along well with, and I have friends who live in the building. There is a nice backyard space, a badminton set and grill. Prospect Hill Park is right around the corner for great sunrise and sunset viewings.
If you’re interested in living in the house, please reply to this email and share a bit about yourself, your interests, and your living preferences!
I am a 33-year-old male who works in sustainability in the built environment, and I run the Circular Economy Club Boston. I am currently finishing a hybrid sustainability MBA through Bard College, so I go to Brooklyn about once a month during the semester. I will be doing an EDF fellowship this summer at Greystar, working on waste diversion strategies. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, listening to podcasts, outdoor activities, including hiking, sailing, and kayaking, and playing guitar and drums. I have friends who live in the neighborhood who sometimes come over to hang out for soup or pizza nights. Other roommate details to be posted shortly.
Once you have toured and been approved the landlord will need:
- Application Form
- Photo ID
- proof of income
- last two bank statements (don't need to show savings or large amounts, just that money is coming in and out)
