I have a kind of interesting hybrid situation- I'm looking for someone interested in subletting my whole furnished place (2 bed, 1 bath in cute South Pasadena) with me as a part-time roommate! I care for my aging parents in San Diego, so I'm typically only home about 10 to 20 days a month which makes for a pretty sweet setup, explained below.
I live in a little cute, quiet, family oriented complex on the top floor. Walking distance to cute restaurants and coffeeshops and Trader Joes. The neighborhood is great for walks. If you've never been to South Pasadena, everyone that comes here falls in love with it. And walking distance from the best farmers market on Thursdays!
Amenities include: Dishwasher, central AC/heat, coin laundry downstairs, ample free street parking, a big balcony/deck.
Available July 1. I pay for my room for two weeks no matter what so $1,850 is your baseline, even if I'm barely there. Think of everything under that as a discount: if I end up home more than two weeks, I pay my prorated share for the extra days, which brings your rent down a little for each day we share the apartment. The least you'd ever pay is $1,250 if I happen to be there the whole month. (Full rent is $2,500.) Either way you're well below what a 1-bedroom goes for around here and well below a 2-bedroom too. And the place is fully furnished and move-in ready at no extra charge. Ideally looking for someone for 2-3 months to start with the option to extend! This arrangement works best when $1,850 feels like a comfortable baseline for you everything under that is just a bonus.
This tends to work really well for someone who was already budgeting for a 1-bedroom but thought it might get a little lonely and it's also been a great fit for people who are new to the area or coming out of a situation where they were living with a partner.
Hoping for someone who enjoys being friends with their roommate but respects alone time, wants to maybe cook some dinners together and watch movies and then retreat into the holes of our rooms when applicable! Clean, friendly, can communicate respectfully. Not a place for parties or partiers other than the occasional night out grandma type vibes. Sorry but no cats or dogs.
