About this Service

Meet DASHE:

THE dynamic duo; a renaissance pair of hospitable, Jack-and-Jane-of-all-trade artists, barkeeps, and event producers who bring over a decade of experience and a genuine love of serving good drinks and good times. On time and on point; wine, spirits, brews, and clues; our creative and reliable services deliver in both value and panache.

Orwellian speakeasy? Steampunk tent revival? Black-tie cocktail hour? A wedding under the magnolias? Whatever the occasion, our resourcefulness, diligence, and charisma won't let you down.

Some of the services we offer:

+ Bartending: you provide the bar, we provide the service - from set-up to serving to clean up and break down.

+ Full + partial bar curation: from wine and beer to craft cocktails and signature drinks, plus our own signature N/A elixirs.

+ Event production : need a trustworthy team of industry vets to handle the finer set-up/break-down details of your gathering? we offer different packages and pricing tiers to tailor your needs to your vision.

+ Event consultation and coordination - our input and expertise to make sure your event runs as efficiently and stress-free as possible.

+ Talent sourcing: from extra hands and waitstaff, to chefs, musicians, DJs, photographers, and artists/performers of all kinds.

We have a particular fondness for breathing new life into the old and familiar; puns aside, we like to shake things up. We love experimenting with flavors and textures, from crafting seasonal shrubs (vinegar-based syrups) and herbal tonics to unusual food + beverage combinations that leave people pleasantly surprised.

*Brooklyn based but we are happy to serve the NYC metropolitan area (including NJ, CT), Upstate NY, and Long Island. Should you be located beyond these areas, we still encourage you to reach out!*

About this Lister

Darby (she/her) in a nutshell: Creative producer and wine industry vet-turned rogue sommelier with a deep knowledge of event production, food & beverage pairing, and decor/aesthetics for any occasion. She lives for good lighting, loves salvaging old treasures, and enjoys setting the mood with a great record or playlist.

Chase (he/him) in a nutshell: Artist, handyman, and craft beer/kombucha brewer from Washington state; a jack of all trades with a love for well-made beverages and joyous times. He loves history, two-step dance music, and emulating Sam Francis.

Background and Expertise

We bring a decade each of experience in events and hospitality, from bars and restaurants, to brand activations and festivals, to private parties and corporate workshops of all sizes and scopes.

Darby is a creative producer and wine + hospitality professional with a WSET Level 2 in Wines. She brings numerous years of experience in all kinds of roles, from dishwasher to sommelier, private caterer to director of hospitality, and just about everything in between. When she's not waxing poetic about Hungarian wines or German rieslings, she's usually pitching amari and aperitivi as the next great thing. On the event side of things, she's planned over 100 events, from small, private gatherings in people's homes to corporate events of 500+ attendees. Fastidious in the details and thoughtful in design, her comedic neuroses about an event's feng shui never falters. She currently runs a monthly wine and poetry workshop called Wine Poetic in partnership with The Poetry Society of New York and is developing a side business at the crossroads of wine and design (whose primary focuses are: the preservation and merchandising of used things and cultivation of the senses through wine), called coucou bisoux.

Chase is a brewer with experience in every role necessary to hand you your drink on the other side of the bar. He has brewed beer, cider, kombucha, seltzers, kveiks and kvasses. He's made the beer and poured the beer with every step in between; management, quality control, packaging, cellaring, the laboratory, recipe development, cooking the pizza, and bussing the tables. He worked for a stint as a carpenter/framer to learn how to build his future home as well as to have more time to paint. He's worked innumerable catered events as a bartender/waitstaff and loves ensuring people have a great time wherever they are.
