About this Lister

I bring my life-long work in social justice, cross-cultural health, and as an artist, to normalize and alter the way we approach death and grieving. By encouraging openness and transparency, empowering individuals to make end-of-life decisions proactively, and embracing alternative practices, I strive to transform how society engages with mortality and, as a result, lives more fully.

Background and Expertise

I am an INELDA (International End of Life Doula Association) trained End of Life Coach, also known as a death doula. I came to this work in 2010, after taking on the role of sole caregiver for my father, and later my step father, my mother and friends and in facing my own grief. I came to learn how potent this time can be for healing, growth and transformation. Having worked alongside hospice, I realized that clients needed additional emotional, spiritual, and logistical accompaniment. My background in the non-profit and government sectors in public health, counseling individuals on sexual and reproductive health, and providing education around people's exposures to chemicals in the environment, has provided me with over 25 years of experience in health care. My goal is to support people in having agency and autonomy around health care decisions.
