I'm looking to do an apartment swap for 2–6 weeks and am hoping to stay somewhere in the Hudson Valley, ideally within commuter distance to NYC. I work remotely but teach in person in Manhattan once a week, so easy access to the city is a plus.
About My Apartment:
- Spacious garden-level studio on the corner of Fort Greene Park
- Private entrance and a small backyard—great for morning coffee or evening air
- Full-size kitchen, perfect for cooking
- Desk setup for working from home
- Fully furnished (I can empty a dresser and wardrobe for your stay)
- On a quiet, tree-lined block in one of Brooklyn’s most walkable neighborhoods
What’s Nearby:
- Fort Greene Park is literally across the street—ideal for walks, reading, or a picnic
- Restaurants, cafés, and shops within a few blocks—like Roman’s, Habana Outpost, Greene Grape, and Hungry Ghost
- Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and other cultural venues a short walk away
- Two grocery stores, multiple pharmacies, and a weekend farmers’ market are all within walking distance
Transit Access:
- C train at Lafayette Ave: 3-minute walk
- G train at Fulton St: 5-minute walk
- Atlantic Terminal/Barclays (2/3/4/5/B/D/N/Q/R and LIRR): 7-minute walk — direct to Manhattan and beyond
- Multiple bus lines within 1–2 blocks
- Citibike stations and bike lanes everywhere
Additional Notes:
I have two friendly cats. For shorter swaps, they can stay if you’re comfortable. For longer swaps, I can bring them with me — happy to work this out with the right person.
Dates are flexible, and I’m open to finding a mutually beneficial match.
If you have a place in the Hudson Valley and are curious about spending some time in Brooklyn, let’s connect! I'd be happy to discuss timelines and see if it’s a good fit.
I'm a designer and educator based in Brooklyn. I work remotely during the week and teach once a week in Manhattan. I'm tidy, respectful, and will treat your space with care. I’m hoping to find someone similarly considerate who’s interested in a temporary change of scenery.
