🏡 Location & Setting: Our studio apartment is nestled on the third floor of a beautiful Brooklyn brownstone, in the heart of Fort Greene. Surrounded by the neighborhood's favorite bars and restaurants, it offers a serene backyard tree view through three large windows, bathing the space in sunlight.

🛋️ Furnishings: The space is fully furnished with a comfy L-shaped sofa, a Queen size bed, and a 55” TV, creating a cozy and welcoming environment.

💼 Work-Friendly Area: For productivity and remote work, there's a dedicated study area with a desk, a supportive ergonomic task chair, and an Apple Thunderbolt 27” screen for easy laptop connection.

🍳 Kitchen Amenities: The kitchen is fully equipped with a large oven, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, espresso machine, and drip coffee maker.

🚉 Transportation: Transportation is convenient with the G train Clinton Washington Stop just a block away. Additional subway lines (C, Q, R, D, N, 4, 5) and bus stops (B38, B69) are also within walking distance, ensuring easy access to various parts of the city.

🐾 Cat Companions: The sublet includes two friendly and chill cats. A clear guideline for cat care and house rules will be provided to ensure a comfortable coexistence. Rent has been reduced to reflect this.

🌳 Neighborhood Vibes: Fort Greene is a vibrant neighborhood known for its tree-lined streets, charming boutique businesses, and a plethora of dining options right on our street. The iconic Fort Greene Park, a mere 5-minute walk away, offers a peaceful retreat from the urban environment.

📃What to Know
As with many classic Brooklyn brownstones, there are some quirks worth noting upfront: the apartment is two flights up with no elevator, there is no super on-site, and there is no laundry in the building (though several laundromats are within easy walking distance). For packages, couriers ring the bell, and if no one is home they may leave the package or reattempt delivery. There’s also a shipping office just two blocks away where we often pick up deliveries, and neighbors sometimes help by holding packages for each other

If you're a trustworthy individual who loves cats and appreciates the allure of Fort Greene, we're excited to share our delightful studio apartment with you!

About This Lister

We are a young couple, an artist (he/him) and a doctor (she/her). Brooklyn is our home, and we are the tenants of this Fort Greene studio. We will be away for work this time, so we are posting here ourselves to find someone who will enjoy the space while we are gone. We will be the main point of contact and will coordinate showing the apartment.

What we love most about the studio is how much light it gets and how close it is to the park and neighborhood cafés. It is a cozy, creative spot that feels connected to the community. We care a lot about our neighbors and are looking for thoughtful guests who will respect both the space and the people around it. We are grateful to the Listing Project for fostering such a warm and trustworthy community of people who share spaces with care.

Rental requirements

Dates
Move-in can be as early as September 18 or 19. Move-out is November 30, with some flexibility on both dates depending on the situation. We would love to find someone for the full duration (Sept 18–Nov 30), but we are also open to shorter stays of at least one month.

Payment
Rent is $2,700 per full month, paid upfront. September will be adjusted to reflect the shorter stay starting on the 18th (Sept 18–30 = $1,170). A $500 security deposit is also required and will be fully returned at the end of your stay, provided the apartment is left in the same condition. All utilities and Wi-Fi are included.
*** Rent reflects a pet-care discount as our two friendly cats will remain in the apartment; clear care guidelines will be provided.

House Guidelines
This is a respectful and quiet building. Having friends over is absolutely welcome, but we ask that noise stays at a considerate level and that no disruptive parties are held. The apartment is non-smoking, and we keep it shoe-free to maintain a clean and comfortable space.

Who the Space Suits
The apartment is best suited for a single person or a couple. It is not child-proofed.

Cats
Our two cats will be staying in the apartment. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around cats and can responsibly care for them. They are low-maintenance and very chill. We will provide detailed care guidelines and would love occasional updates and photos while we are away.

Meetings and Showings
We are happy to arrange a video call (Zoom or FaceTime) to meet and walk through the space. An in-person visit can also be coordinated.

We’re excited to meet the right guest. If you’re interested, write to us and share a little about yourself in detail, we’d love to hear your story.
