Learn the foundations of astrology in a cozy, intimate container meant to foster connection, community, and a student-mentor relationship.

This 6 week course will meet for 6 Mondays starting November 10, from 7-8:30 PM in Crown Heights, Brooklyn (exact location to be sent to participants ahead of time).

This course is ideal for the beginner completely new to astrology or the more adept practitioners wanting to deepen their relationship to the building blocks of astrology and gain a fresh perspective in their practice. Through my teaching style I aim to guide you deeper than just memorization of the ABC's of astrology. You'll walk away from this course having a rooted, contextualized understanding of how and why astrology works, the history and lineage of this ancient art (and how it came to look the way it does today), and an ability to navigate and interpret a natal chart. We'll work with a combination of example charts and students' own charts as we move through the material, as a means for students to connect with their own natal charts as the holistic, cosmic ecosystem that it is.

My own practice is rooted in traditional astrology, particularly Hellenistic, which informs my approach to teaching technique, theory, and philosophy. While I center Hellenistic tradition in my approach, I aim to honor the history and lineage of the tradition and hold space for how this art and discipline is most relevant in our modern lives.

Classes will be a combination of lecture and discussion with limited spaces in order to provide a close knit learning environment, rich discussion, and attention to each student's thoughts, reflections, and questions.

About this Lister

I'm Cori Anne, I've been studying astrology for over 10 years and practicing professionally for nearly 5 years. My long, meandering journey with astrology began in the modern tradition, but I've truly found my home and footing in traditional astrology, particularly in the Hellenistic tradition.

I came into astrology at a time in my life where I was asking myself big questions around who I am, what I was doing, what I wanted out of life and how I needed to move forward to make it so. Ever since, astrology has acted as a beacon and guide, both internally and externally, as I've learned more and more about myself, my life, what I am doing, and what I want to do. It has helped make things make sense as those aspirations and understandings of self have shifted and changed. My hope as an astrologer is to provide people with the art, discipline, and language of astrology so that it can support and guide them in the same way.

One of my favorite things about astrology is that I will never not be a student of this discipline, no matter how adept I become and no matter where my professional journey takes me. There is always more to learn, both exoterically and esoterically, whether it be new perspectives, new techniques, or new, deeper understandings of what you previously thought of as simple or basic (which is a big cornerstone of this course!) It is absolutely an honor to be at a point in my own journey where I am able to facilitate, inspire, and help shape the journey of others.

Background and Expertise

With over ten years of study and five years of practicing professionally, my work as an astrologer has spanned many areas, from events to client work to teaching, and I'm currently looking forward to my next career milestone of speaking at the 2026 United Astrology Conference in Chicago.

My journey and practice has been shaped by the work of contemporary astrologers such as Chris Brennan, Jason Holley, Demetra George, and my own mentor, Cristina Farella, as well as essential ancient contributors to the art such as Vettius Valens, Ptolemy, Manilius, Porphyry, and more.

Over the course of my time working professionally as an astrologer I have worked with hundreds of clients, as well as taught several students in both long format, multi-week courses and shorter workshop style containers. Being a teacher is one of the roles in my professional practice that I value most highly,
