Hello there! I'm looking for someone to stay in the guest room of my beautiful furnished apartment starting around October 21 or later, and staying through February 2026, with potential to extend.

The apartment is in a modern luxury building, formerly a glass manufacturing warehouse. It has charming details including tall ceilings, old wood beams, and brick walls.

The space is a flexible 2-bedroom, where one room doubles as an office space or guest bedroom.

I usually work in an office in Midtown during the week, spend a few days at my boyfriend’s, occasionally go out with friends, and am otherwise home studying or working. I’m renting out this room in my apartment to help pay for grad school.

The apartment and setup is a little cozy for two people, and I've found works best with people who have a slightly different schedule than mine. So ideally you don't have a 9-5 job.

The room is fully furnished along with sheets and towels, so you'll only need to bring your personal belongings. It’s a small room but the Murphy bed transforms the space. When the bed is up it can be a spacious office or room for yoga and stretching. You’ll notice big glass French doors are the entryway to the room. There are two layers of curtains for privacy - one that is translucent and lets light through and another thick tapestry backed with a blackout curtain layer for full privacy.

My lease ends at the end of February next year and I’ll probably renew. At that point, we can also decide if we mutually want to extend the sublet agreement.

The room is $1000 a month and other expenses average around $100 per month each or a little less. This includes wifi, utilities, and shared household supplies (toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products). I typically stay at my boyfriend's house every other week for about a week.

To me it's important to get along with whoever I live with. It would be great if we could share a meal, a drink, or listen to a record on occasion, though I will also be keeping to myself with homework quite a lot. While I like my own space, I also genuinely enjoy living with people that I connect with.
