Hello there! I'm looking for someone to stay part-time in the guest room of my beautiful furnished apartment starting mid-September or early October through February 2026, with potential to extend. I’d also consider someone looking for a short-term sublet from around Sept. 10-30 for $40/night.

The apartment is in a modern luxury building, formerly a glass manufacturing warehouse. It has charming details including tall ceilings, old wood beams, and brick walls.

Here's the building's website: https://www.glassworksbk.com/

The space is a flexible 2-bedroom, where one room doubles as an office space or guest bedroom.

I usually work in an office in Midtown during the week, spend a few days at my boyfriend’s, occasionally go out with friends, and am otherwise home studying or working. I’m renting out this room in my apartment part time to help pay for grad school.

I’m looking for someone who wants to rent the room for around 3-5 nights a week and otherwise stays at another place. Perhaps you’re a commuter who needs a place on the weekdays or weekends, or you live with someone else but you also want ‘a room of your own.’

The room is fully furnished along with sheets and towels, so you'll only need to bring your personal belongings. It’s a small room but the Murphy bed transforms the space. When the bed is up it can be a spacious office or room for yoga and stretching. You’ll notice big glass French doors are the entryway to the room. There are two layers of curtains for privacy - one that is translucent and lets light through and another thick tapestry backed with a blackout curtain layer for full privacy.

My lease ends at the end of February next year and I’ll probably renew. At that point, we can also decide if we mutually want to extend the sublet agreement.

You would pay $40 a night according to how many days a month you’ll stay over. For example, Monday-Thursday each week would be 16 nights and $640/month. This includes wifi, utilities, and shared household supplies (toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products). Ideally you would have a regular schedule. I would prefer to have the place to myself most weekends since that’s when I’m home the most. But equally important, it would be great if we could share a meal, a drink, or listening to a record on occasion. While I like my own space, I also genuinely enjoy living with people that I connect with.

The building features and amenities include:

Tall ceilings
Lots of natural light
Electric stove

Hardwood floors
Deep soaking bathtub
Fast wi-fi
