We are right on newly renovated Upper Highland Park/ Ridgewood Reservoir—huge trees & green space, beautiful reservoir paths and 1 1/2 mile paved path with lots of birdlife, walking/biking/running, stone bridge, frisbee golf course, picnic areas, ball fields, tennis in Lower Park etc!

Located on Bulwer Place beyond Bushwick close to Ridgewood off Jackie Robinson Parkway—10-15 min walk to A,C, L, J, Z, M and LIRR trains Broadway Junction, Liberty Ave C , Van Siclen J, Z Bushwick/ Aberdeen L—street parking great if you own a car—quick drive to Forest Hills, Ridgewood, etc— great biking and bike storage available in garage.

Looking for respectful, creative individuals who would enjoy sharing and living in a real family house with the surrounding park/nature, and won’t bring the party home.

Also have a 300 sq ft 1st floor art studio with built in work surfaces/ storage cabinets and a separate garage wood workshop that may have some shared artists work space available for rent later this year. Ask if interested.

About This Lister

We are a couple (newly retired—young at heart) who have worked therapeutically using creative arts, music, yoga, nature, meditation, and spirituality in healthcare, education, spiritual, and community settings. Guitar musician, artist, and poet.

We now spend at least 1/2 time of our time in our small country house in PA, so you would share with one other roommate when we are there.

Our son and his fiancé  (in mid 30’s) live and work in the downstairs apartment and are artists/designers.

We’ve rented rooms to quite a few folks including artists/creatives/students/teachers over the years through Listings, and enjoy sharing our home and supporting those transitioning to NYC, here short term, or looking for a change from busy city streets. We are friendly and engaging, but also offer quiet, privacy and your own space, and we are away a lot.

We also have a large fluffy cat named Magic who almost always comes with us to PA when we go.
