500 sq ft furnished studio apartment in prime Highland Park neighborhood available for short or long term rental. I'm a creative professional (prop stylist/set designer) and have a home in the hills in Highland Park. My good friend has been renting my downstairs garden level apartment (I live upstairs) for the past 5 years and is sadly moving away. I'm ultimately looking for a new long term tenant, but considering shorter term rentals until I find the right person.
House is on a good sized fenced in property with a large garden, citrus trees and lots of outdoor space. I have a very friendly dog who will want to sometimes hang out with you, so dog friendly/lover is a must. Also if you have a dog who gets along with other dogs that's ok too.
Apartment is newly renovated, dishwasher, shared laundry, built-in storage, television, queen bed, concrete floors. Internet and all utilities included.
House is on a quiet block, very walkable to York and Figueroa (the main drags in HP.) Street parking is usually very easy right in front of house or on the same block.
I travel a lot for work, but when i'm not working I'm often home working in my studio in the garage in the backyard. I host dinner parties and an occasional craft night or my book club, but don't really ever have big loud parties. Sometimes my other friends with dogs come over for a dog playdate. I'm a queer woman in my 40's and have intentionally created a little queer compound here in LA after living in NYC for 15 years.
I'm open to 1 to 6 month rentals with the possibility of extending.
