About this Service

I offer engaging German tutoring for children, either 1:1 or in small groups (max. 4 kids).

Lessons are playful, structured, and age-appropriate, using stories, games, songs, and hands-on activities to build confidence and real language skills. For bilingual children, I focus especially on literacy, spelling, and strengthening vocabulary in a supportive, encouraging way.

Options available:

1:1 tutoring (fully personalized) 85$/h (includes travel within 1h and lesson material)

Small group sessions* (2-4 kids, great for siblings or friends) 50$/h per child (includes travel and lesson material)

I create a calm, positive learning environment where kids feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and enjoying the language.

About this Lister

I grew up in Germany with a Mexican-American mom and a German dad, and was raised bilingual in English and German. Growing up between languages and cultures gave me a deep understanding of both the challenges that bilingual kids can face, like mixing languages or feeling unsure when reading and writing, as well as the many opportunities it creates. I bring this personal experience into my teaching, helping children build confidence in German while celebrating their bilingual background.

Background and Expertise

I have experience teaching classes at the university level, as well as several years of tutoring children ages 5–12 in both English and German. This combination allows me to bring structure and clarity from higher education into a warm, age-appropriate learning environment for kids. I’m comfortable adapting my teaching style to different ages, learning levels, and language backgrounds, and I focus on building confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation in the language.
