Ideal Situation for me:

Location: Crown Heights, PLG, Northern Flatbush or PPS, Prospect Heights (generally surrounding Prospect Park)

Space: Small family home or under 10 unit. 1 Bedroom, or some separation between rooms to work on projects and have a mini studio space. Unfurnished.

Budget: 2200 max - Ideally around 1900-2000

Wishlist: Laundry in the building, I also have a few pots from the garden I’d love to take with me if there is any ledge/balcony or backyard space.

Timeline: Open to move now, need to move by Nov 10 latest. Open to 1- or 2-year leases

I am moving out on my own after an amicable separation from my partner of six years. It’s a sad change but one we are both treating gently and with respect. I am hoping to find my next place as somewhere I can flourish in this new era of life.

In my home, I really put a lot of love and respect into the space. I am very clean and organized and have a deep appreciation for interior design. I want to love being home and that means taking care of it! I’ve been living in Crown Height for eight years and for the last five I have lived with my partner in a beautiful two-family home. We know the owners well and have really enjoyed working with them to grow the garden and maintain the property. The area and community of Crown Heights means so much to me and I am looking forward to the opportunity to experience that in a new place.

Two cats would also like to come with me – they are sisters (Queens girls originally) and they come with credentials. One has caught a mouse, and the other has made it so that our apartment has not seen a pest in two years! I grew up with dogs, so they are being trained to learn verbal commands. Generally, they are very respectful of my space. (I can attest that in their 3.5 years living with me there have been no cats on the counter!)
