I’m looking for a furnished private room in a shared apartment, ideally starting around April 4. My move-in date is flexible by a few days since I have temporary housing booked.

Budget:
$1,300 to $1,900 per month, all-in. I can provide proof of funds and references.

Preferences:
Private or en-suite bathroom strongly preferred, though shared could work if the overall fit is right.

A room with a door and basic furnishings is important, ideally with space for a small desk since I work from a laptop.

Kitchen access is important, and laundry in the building or nearby is a plus.

Nice to have:
Outdoor space such as a balcony, patio, or yard is a plus, as I’m an occasional smoker and always keep that outside.

Location:
Astoria near the N/W is ideal, but I’m also open to Sunnyside, Ridgewood, LIC, or Upper Manhattan if the place and commute make sense.

I’m open to roommate situations, furnished sublets, or a flexible short-term lease, ideally 6 to 12 months, though month-to-month could also work for the right fit. No brokers, please.

Hi! I’m Seron, a graphic designer relocating to NYC from Atlanta on April 4. I’ve previously worked with Netflix and SiriusXM, and I’m currently interviewing for design roles while continuing freelance work.

I’m clean, respectful, and pretty low-key at home. I work from a laptop most days, am easygoing in shared spaces, and communicate well about household basics.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring the city, and keeping up with design, culture, and current events. I’m an occasional smoker, but always respectful of house rules and keep that outside.
