I’m currently in NYC (Queens) and looking for a furnished private room in a shared apartment, ideally with a private or en-suite bathroom. A lockable bedroom door and basic furnishings (bed, dresser/closet, and space for a small desk) would be ideal since I work from a laptop.

Outdoor space such as a balcony, patio, or yard would be a plus since I’m an occasional smoker (always respectful of house rules). Access to a kitchen and laundry in the building or nearby is preferred.

My first choice is Astoria near the N/W trains, but I’m also open to Sunnyside, Long Island City, Ridgewood, or Upper Manhattan if it’s a great fit and close to the subway.

I’m available to view rooms this week and can move quickly for the right fit. I’m looking for a flexible arrangement (month-to-month or 3–6 months), with the option to extend if it works well.
