My name is Nathan, and I have 1 room for rent (sublet) in a 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom Greenpoint apartment for FEB 15.

Price: $1700 + utilities ($50 - 80/month... depending on the time of year)

FEBRUARY 15 MOVE IN (Can be flexible on this, but lets talk)

You will be my roommate and subletting directly from me.

My lease ends in August, but I'll likely renew as I've been in this apartment for about three years and have a really great price.

Transportation:
L TRAIN - 0.5 mile walk to Graham Ave (10 - 12 minute walk)
G TRAIN - 0.3 mile walk to Nassau Ave (7 minute walk)
B43 Bus - Steps outside the apartment

ABOUT THE APARTMENT:

- This apartment is very spacious and has TONS of sunlight (direct). It is an older building so the entire apartment is quite spacious i'd say for new york standards.

- 2nd floor walk-up

- The room can easily fit a queen bed (with space) and has a HUGE double closet.

- The living room and kitchen are fully furnished. so you wouldn't need to bring much (but i'd be more than happy to make space for anything you want to bring)

- The building allows pets. However, this has been a "pet free" home for the last 3 years. If you are the owner of a cat or dog, we could definitely talk more about the possibility of that changing :)

- no laundry :/ - nearest laundromat is a clean, coin-operated, laundromat - 1.5 blocks away.

- Very close to mccarren park which has been such a huge win.

ABOUT ME:

- I am 31 years old and am originally from the Bay Area but have lived in NYC for 8+ years.

- I work in tech, although don't necessarily think I fully align with what I do for a career, but that's a conversation for later lol.

- I work from an office 4 days a week (M-Th) and wfh in my room on Fridays.

- I love soccer. I also referee on the side just to be around the game a little bit more. but I love to play and I love to watch. I spend most Saturday/Sunday mornings in front of the TV watching the premier league.

- i like to run/go to the gym

- I think of myself as a creative person and like to take photos.

- I love doing things spontaneously (although i respect a good plan)

- I love plants so there's always room for more :)

- I also love to host. This apartment has been home to many group gatherings, movie nights, dinner parties.. etc. It's not something I do with any sort of cadence; just when the occasion pops up.

- This apartment has always been a place for people to gather, and I think an important aspect of who i am.

ABOUT YOU:

- you are someone who will clean up after themself in common areas

- you are someone who will do their dishes

- you are somone that will pay rent on-time

- it'd be nice to find someone that shares common interests, but it isn't a deal-breaker.

- We don't need to be best friend, but I do think somebody willing to build more than just a roommate-ship would be a great fit here.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I want my roommate, whoever you are, to feel at home in this space.

I don't want you to feel like you're living in MY apartment. I want it to become OUR apartment. I'm willing and open to changing anything about the apartment that you think would make it better/easier for you to live in.

I want this to be a place where you feel welcome to bring your friends over anytime and they feel just as much at home here as we do.

I want this to be a place you feel like you can fully be yourself and flourish.
