Welcome to your treehouse in the city! This cabin-like home offers lofted, raw wood ceilings, peaceful surroundings, and stunning views. With two bedrooms and an office space/ spare room, the 1200 square foot home comfortably sleeps four people for regular use and one additional guest. Decorated with ease and serenity in mind, the home features original artwork, mid-century furnishings, and an uncluttered, airy feel. Our regular home for the academic year, the space feels warm and homey (no generic rental vibes here).
The home is nestled in the trees in the hills of Highland Park. It's walkable to parks (both dog parks and playgrounds), coffee shops, restaurants, and nightlife in Highland Park and Eagle Rock, but has a secluded feel. It's a short drive to Pasadena, downtown, Echo Park, Silverlake, and surrounds. Also close to hikes in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Mountains.
More details: Each bedroom and the main living space have a mini-split cooling system. A gated parking pad accommodates up to four cars. The home does require stair access from the parking pad to the home, making it a better fit for those who can comfortably use stairs.
We are professors who rent out our home during the summer, when we travel for research. We share the home with our young child and can leave it outfitted for young people or not, depending on your needs.
Identity verification, lease, and one month security deposit (refundable) required.
House trained dogs are welcome. We ask that subletters avoid leaving them outside for long periods unattended, out of respect for our lovely, conscientious neighbors.
