About the Role
-We are looking for an HR Associate on a part-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in scheduling and running performance review cycles, HRIS data hygiene (Justworks or similar), and basic multi-state compliance (CA + NY).
-Your work keeps our HR function organized and dependable as we scale.

Responsibilities
-Champion team clarity and engagement through structured feedback mechanisms and timely HR communication;
-Work alongside the Founder to have key conversations around areas of growth and opportunity among team members;
-Own the full performance-review cycle (calendaring, reminders, collecting forms/feedback, host calls, consult w Founder, version control, filing);
-As needed, act as a sounding board to the founder on HR related issues;
-Keep employee information up to date in Justworks (new hires, rate/title changes, terminations, documents);
-Coordinate onboarding/offboarding checklists and calls;
-Keep policy docs and org charts current;
-Support communication with our accountant as needed;
-Manage contractor agreements and maintain a clean foldering/tax-time handoff;
-Support recruiting logistics (postings, inbox triage, interview scheduling, reference checks).

Requirements
-2+ years in HR coordination/assistant or people-ops admin (startup or agency/production a plus).;
-Hands-on experience with Justworks (or similar HRIS) and Google Workspace; comfort in Slack + Notion;
-Proven ability/desire to independently research and maintain multi-state compliance nuances (CA & NY experience is a significant advantage).;
-Demonstrated, high-level discretion managing confidential employee data and strong business acumen/EQ for advising the -Founder on sensitive people-related issues.;
-Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

The Center for Better Relating Inc seeks to remake modern dating; its flagship offering is, ‘The feels’ an IRL singles event that seeks to create a safe and immersive environment for ppl to connect in depth.
At present, ‘the feels’ has installments in NYC, LA, SF, PHL, Chicago + DC.
We also offer online education, weekly content, and a matchmaking program under ‘the feels’ brand.
At an inflection point, the CBR seeks to spread its core message - that better relating is possible.
We’re looking for an HR Associate to help us manage and streamline core HR functions and support our team as we grow. You’ll collaborate with the founder to operationalize HR systems, manage performance, keep us compliant, and ensure our team has what they need to thrive.
This role is perfect for someone who's energized by HR, calm under deadlines, detail-forward,and comfortable creating clear, efficient processes in a growing organization.
‘The feels’ has been in operation since 2022. This is a remote position. The ask is that you are able to proactively own recurring HR cycles and deadlines while always addressing the necessities of the org writ large, i.e. supporting team wellbeing, compliance, and overall efficiency of the org from a people-ops perspective.
