Fully furnished apartment with queen-size bed, well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove etc. and excellent washers/dryers in the basement.

The owner has some packing boxes in one part of the bedroom and just generally stuff in the apartment which is why the rent is reduced.

(I know! And the price is crazy high but am subsidizing part of the cost! What can I say? New York!).

Rent INCLUDING utilities (electricity, water, gas, heat/AC, wifi): $3,000/month

(If electricity exceeds $100 for the month, the excess will be deducted from deposit.)

Requirements:
We are looking for a single person or a couple who can take good care of our apartment while we are away and who can check the mail etc.

We are looking for someone to rent our space for the entire duration or as long as possible.

Pets are welcome.

We would initially like to schedule a Facetime or WhatsApp video call to meet the potential subletter and then an in-person tour.

We will request a security deposit of one month's rent and three references for the sublet.

If all is copasetic, we will sign a standard lease with subletter and subletter will need to provide a valid government-issued photo ID plus first month rent and security deposit.

AVAILABLE: 1 June, 2026 - 1 September, 2027 (might be possible to extend lease)

About This Lister

I am the owner of the apartment and used to spend more time in NYC. Right now I am pretty much living overseas. Looking for someone to open the family mail and look after the space etc. Have mostly had friends/family staying in the flat so am a bit nervous about finding the right person as we're basically like roommates although I am not there :)
