Doman Decors is seeking a dynamic, style-savvy Interior Design Assistant who can wear many hats and help elevate the studio’s work across a variety of creative and logistical tasks. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity ideal for someone with strong taste, a great eye for design, and a deep love of interiors. Whether you're a recent design grad, a freelancer building your own studio, or a seasoned pro eager to collaborate and share your expertise, this role is for someone who thrives in a creative environment and brings enthusiasm, precision, and flexibility to the table.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Collaborating on material and finish selections for residential projects
• Sourcing furniture, décor, vintage pieces, and unique art
• Visiting job sites to assist with measurements, deliveries, and furniture installations
• Using AutoCAD (or a similar program) to create floor plans and elevations
• Contacting vendors to gather samples and product information, and helping build long-term relationships
• Supporting client/project organization using MyDoma and Studio Designer (experience not required, but willingness to learn is)
• Assisting with styling and organizing photoshoots
• Helping manage and create content for social media (Instagram/TikTok) that reflects the studio’s casual, artful tone
What She's Looking For:
• Excellent taste in interiors, color, and materiality — people often compliment your style and instincts
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software to create floor plans and elevations
• Confidence in taking precise on-site measurements and reading architectural drawings
• Solid understanding of the interior design process: sourcing, vendor relationships, client communication, installs, etc.
• Must be based in New York and able to work in person with a flexible schedule
• A passion for design history, vintage furniture, and creative sourcing
• Social media fluency — especially Instagram and TikTok — and an interest in creating beautiful, engaging content
• Bonus points if you have connections to artists or makers we can feature in projects
