Hi there! Do you want to live in the city but feel like you're living upstate, and have the best of both worlds? This is the place to be! The view of Inwood Hill Park and the Hudson River shown in the photos (one from mid-September and one from mid-December) is the view from all of the windows in the apartment. There are several playing fields and open lawns in the park that are well-utilized by the community, and there are many hiking trails up in the woods that are ideal for naturalists of all kinds. There is a cafe and a lovely waterfront with benches just one block away. Inwood is a homey, diverse, friendly neighborhood with lots of families, artists, students, and working professionals.
**The move-in date is flexible between January 15th and February 1st. The room can come furnished or unfurnished.**
I am renting out the second bedroom in my top-floor apartment, where I live with my calm, sweet, little dog (see photo - this could be you on the couch with him!). The room is currently furnished with a queen-sized bed, a window-unit air conditioner, and everything else in the photo. It is a corner room, with three windows on two sides - it has tons of light and your houseplants will love it, too!
In the living room, there is a large smart TV, some home-gym and yoga equipment, and an air-purifier. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the usual tools as well as an air-fryer/toaster oven, pressure cooker, farmhouse sink, water filter, and a Vitamix. The kitchen and bathroom were newly renovated just before I moved in a few years ago.
Located in a quiet and very friendly, neighborly building, we have a laundry room in the basement, an elevator, and an excellent live-in super.
I like to keep a peaceful, welcoming, and clean home; I am looking for someone who prioritizes the same things.
My dog sheds very little, and is very friendly with humans (he will be happy to keep to himself unless you invite him to snuggle). While he is great with most dogs, no other pets are allowed.
Rent is $1850/month, plus a flat rate of $150/month for your portion of shared utilities that I take care of managing (gas, electric, internet, air and water filters, toilet paper, dish soap/sponges, cleaning supplies, etc).
Feel free to reach out with any questions!

I am usually out on weekends and at least one night during the week. I have lived in Inwood for about a decade, and I love the vibe and the community here! The park is wonderful, this apartment is a rare gem, and my neighbors are the best.
