We are looking for someone to take over our lease starting in August. It’s a 2-bed and 2-bath (one with steam shower and the other with a bathtub). Great natural light amplified by tall ceilings and engineered white oak flooring, washer/dryer in the unit, dishwasher, HVAC air conditioning unit for heat/cool in each room, big closets, elevator and a communal, luscious backyard with BBQ and seating. The apartment looks at the backyard (north facing) and it is located on the 4th floor. Rent is $3100/month (utilities not included). The lease ends on Feb 28, 2026, however, the landlord can re-negotiate a 12-month lease. It's a small (only 10 units) and newish condo building (opened in 2020, we are the first and only renters of this apartment). Located on Newkirk Ave between New York Avenue and 34th Street, off the 2/5 trains at the Newkirk Ave subway stop. Just a few blocks away from Nostrand Ave, which offers an array of grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Photos are from when we first moved into the building.

My husband and I moved to this apartment in February 2020 when the building had just opened up and right before the COVID lockdown. We have loved living in East Flatbush and started our family of four here. We unexpectedly need to move to care for a family member and looking for someone to take over our lease.
