I am seeking a licensed acupuncturist and board certified herbalist to join Awakened Alignment Acupuncture as an associate practitioner. This is a fee-for-service 1099 independent contractor position; it is ideal for a practitioner who is professional, compassionate, and aligned with a heart-centered approach to healing.
Position will begin in January 2026.

Must be available to work at least one weekend day (required). Ideal availability includes Friday plus Saturday OR Sunday
Starting at 2 days per week with room to grow

*Compensation*
Highly competitive fee-for-service pay structure
Up to $150/hour, based on seeing up to two patients per hour
Fee-for-service / paid per patient visit ($75 base rate for follow-up treatment)

-Provide high-quality acupuncture treatments in alignment with the clinical and ethical standards of the practice
-Create and communicate clear, effective treatment plans that build understanding, trust, and commitment to care
-Demonstrate strong patient retention through consistent follow-up, rapport-building, and quality of care
-Maintain efficient, accurate, and timely charting and documentation
-Contribute to a warm, grounded, and professional clinic atmosphere
-Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and colleagues
-Participate in occasional team meetings, training, and events as needed
-Applicants may operate their own private practices but will be asked to sign a non-compete clause within a specific bounded area (Prospect Park South to Avenue H, Ocean Parkway to Flatbush Avenue)

-Master's or doctoral level degree
-NYS-licensed acupuncturist and board certification in acupuncture in good standing; board certification in Chinese herbal medicine preferred
-Clean Needle Technique and CPR certification
-Strong diagnostic and treatment skills in TCM or related lineage
-Interest or experience in fertility, women’s health, pain management and emotional wellness preferred
-Professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and reliability are essential
-Must maintain and show proof of own Professional Liability (malpractice) Insurance

Awakened Alignment Acupuncture, PC is my small but established private acupuncture practice in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. The practice was founded by me, Katy Hogan, a board-certified and NYS-licensed acupuncturist with over 15 years of clinical experience. My work is known for its integrative, heart-centered approach, blending TCM, functional medicine awareness, and deeply compassionate patient care.
