I offer 30, 60 and 90 minute customized massage appointments. Each session with me is thoughtfully tailored to meet your unique needs, whether you’re seeking pain relief, injury rehabilitation, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself. This session combines intuitive touch with a variety of tools to support your healing journey. Depending on your goals, your session may include enhancements such as cryotherapy, thermotherapy, sound healing, cupping, gua sha, and stretching. Together, we’ll create a personalized session that honors your body.
My name is Yana Parker and I’m deeply connected to the body, the natural world, and my roots. I’m Jamaican, and my cultural heritage plays an important role in how I move through the world—shaping my values around care, rhythm, community, and tending to what nourishes us. I love cooking and working with plants, both of which feel like extensions of that connection and creativity. When I’m at the beach, I feel most like myself; the ocean, sun, and slower pace bring me back to an island mindset that reminds me to breathe, soften, and stay present.
Movement and mindful practices are also central to my life. I enjoy hiking, yoga, breathwork, meditation, and weightlifting as ways to stay grounded and connected to my body. I have a deep love for art and spent several years practicing pottery, an experience that continues to influence how I think about working with my hands—slowly, deliberately, and with care.
I’m also an avid salsa and bachata dancer and regularly travel to dance festivals across the country to learn through workshops and connect with community. At times, I show up to these festivals as a massage therapist, offering recovery sessions to fellow dancers and movers. These experiences—culture, creativity, movement, and rest—continually inform both my personal life and the way I approach healing work.
I am a licensed massage and bodywork therapist with over five years of professional experience and a strong commitment to continual learning and intentional, client-centered care. I completed my foundational massage therapy education at the Florida School of Massage, attending from October 2019 through May 2020. During this time, I also completed an Advanced Sports Massage program, which allowed me to graduate with an expanded clinical skill set and a more comprehensive approach to therapeutic work.
In August 2020, I passed the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Florida. I launched my private practice the following month, in September 2020. As my practice grew, I continued to pursue ongoing education, including coursework in sound healing and integrative wellness modalities.
In preparation for my relocation, I became licensed as a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist in North Carolina in 2025. That same year, I began my teaching career at Central Piedmont Community College, where I currently serve as an instructor in the Massage Therapy program, supporting and mentoring future practitioners. Upon moving to Charlotte, I worked with a locally owned spa while reestablishing my private practice.
In December 2025, I officially launched my Charlotte-based private practice, Reclaimed Roots Healing Collective, located in the SouthPark area. I continue to expand my offerings through advanced training, including sound therapy certification and additional coursework in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, thoughtful touch, and a belief in the body’s innate capacity for healing when supported with skill, presence, and respect.
