Hi there! I’m looking for a home swap for my light-filled, renovated one-bedroom apartment in Santa Monica, Los Angeles in exchange for a place in Manhattan or Brooklyn this September-November. Honestly, dates are a bit flexible at this point, but I'm looking for a two-month period.

My apartment is in an unbeatable location, right across from Palisades Park with ocean views from the bluffs, and on Montana Ave, Santa Monica’s most walkable and charming neighborhood. It’s bright and peaceful, with windows on both sides of the unit, in-unit laundry, AC, a private balcony, bathtub, dishwasher, and a clean, cozy Scandinavian feel. That's right, in-unit laundry :) You're also welcome to use my bike.

I’m on the top floor of a quiet two-story building, and my neighbor across the hall is lovely and has kindly offered to help if anything comes up during your stay. Late summer in LA is truly dreamy. The beach weather often lasts all fall. I was swimming in the ocean well into October last year.

Looking for a clean, quiet 1BR in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Would prefer a swap with one person (no couples) in a similar age/remote-work/life situation as myself. Would love to find someone open to a kind, communicative exchange. Please reach out if this sounds like a fit!

I'm a forty-something former New Yorker (she/her) who moved to Santa Monica three years ago and absolutely love living here. I work remotely, and take advantage of the walkability of my neighborhood, both to shops, cafes and restaurants, and also to the beach. I also picked up tennis while out here, and the courts are a 15 minute walk away. Basically, everything is a 15 minute walk away :)

I have some health-related things to take care of and would prefer to be near my family in New York while I do so. They don't have place for me, unfortunately, so I'm looking for an exchange. I feel like this would be easier than finding someone to sublet my apartment and then finding someone to sublet from, but I am not opposed to go that route either.
