I'm looking for a part-time person to resupply my booth at the Bryant Park Winter Market five days a week from late October through end of December. This is an early morning job - you'd start at 7:15am and be done by 10 or 10:30am. I resupply inventory in my booth Thursday - Monday. Must be comfortable driving a few blocks from my storage locker (W. 17th St & 10th Ave) to Bryant Park. and then from Bryant Park to Herald Square. Must have access to a vehicle.
The job would entail:
* Going to the storage locker (Manhattan Mini Storage in Chelsea) and pulling the inventory needed. You will receive an Excel doc the night before with the items needed.
* The inventory is relatively lightweight (art prints, ornaments, mugs, tote bags, etc) but you will need to be able to move boxes around in storage to get what you need
* Load the inventory into your vehicle, and drive it to the east side of Bryant Park (parking in the loading zone is allowed for vendors).
* We supply a rolling cart and reusable bags for delivering the product. You roll the cart to the booth (we're near the 40th St entrance, where there is a ramp to enter the park). You drop off the bags in the booth by no later than 10:15am, and pick up any empty bags. You don't need to return to return to storage when done.
I am also participating in the Herald Square holiday market, so on Fridays and Mondays during the month of December you'll go from Bryant Park to drop off a second round of inventory near Greeley Square.
Because of the time constraints of the market hours, inventory must be delivered by 10:15am at the latest, so being extremely punctual and reliable is the most important part of this job.
My booth has a relatively high turnover so it can take a bit of time to pull everything needed. Once you've pulled the merch, it can typically fit on one dolly. It can take anywhere from 1-2 hours to pull the inventory, so to be safe I'd say the hours you'd be working are roughly 7am - 10:30am. The storage locker is very well organized and everything is labeled and categorized.
5 days a week - Thursday - Monday
$40/hour, plus mileage from storage to the booth
October 27 - Jan 1.
* plus one half day of paid training at storage so you can see how it's all organized. Training is $25/hour and it would be in mid October before the market starts
You'll train with me or my husband but will be working on your own the rest of the time. As such, I'm looking for a self-starter type of person who is organized and highly dependable.
Hi! I'm Monica. I'm an artist with a booth at the Bryant Park Winter Market and the Herald Square Holiday Market. I sell products with my illustrations on them, including small batch candles, tote bags, archival prints and ornaments.
