Lovely furnished Sunset Park brownstone apartment $1250 June 17-June 27, PET CARE REQUIRED, possibility to extend as share if dates don't line up exactly.

Looking for subletter to take my lovely Sunset Park brownstone apartment. A pair of friendly cats (both age three-ish) Squid and Pluto, come with the apartment, require feeding and love. I will be traveling to Ireland for a wedding from June 17-27, so during that time the apartment would be all yours. However, if you want to stay on for a bit once I'm back as a share that's negotiable. Rate would be dependent on duration of stay.

The apartment is quirky and old but also charming and cared for, a third-floor walk up with original details including gingerbread moldings, claw-foot tub, fireplaces (2, non working). The primary bedroom (yours) is about 12x14 and has tin ceilings, its own fireplace, embossed walls, plus a ceiling fan and A/C. It's at the back of the apartment and feels like you're in a treehouse. Great sunsets can be seen from the living room, and you can see downtown Manhattan from the kitchen. There is a second smaller bedroom/office but not available for guest use.

Sunset Park is vibrant and very diverse -- we have large Mexican, Central American and Chinese communities, lots of good food options, a couple of great bars and coffee shops, and a beautiful park with panoramic views of the city. There is a subway three blocks away (R line at 53rd), and it's only four stops to Manhattan if you switch to one of the express trains at 36th (N or D lines). There's also a B63 busstop half a block away that's an easy way to get to other Brooklyn neighborhoods (Park Slope, Greenwood, Gowanus, downtown Brooklyn).

The very cool landlord is on the first floor with his family, he will know you’re here. I would ask that you are reasonably quiet and respectful in the space.

Squid and Pluto are pretty easy require feeding, litter scooping, and as many pats as they can get once they warm up (not immediate but it happens pretty fast). They're young (about 3) so still have a bit of kitten energy.
