As a project manager you will be highly organized, proactive, and detail-obsessed to keep the marketing engine running smoothly. This role is equal parts project wrangler, spreadsheet whisperer, and cross-functional glue. You’ll play a critical role supporting the marketing team across project management, budget oversight, and general operational excellence with plenty of room to optimize operations along the way.

Project Management & Execution:
• Lead day-to-day project management across brand marketing, innovation, product, and cross-functional initiatives
• Lead the project management of multiple new product initiatives through the stage-gate process, owning meeting documentation for weekly and monthly reviews and driving timely follow-ups to keep cross-functional teams aligned and accountable.
• Build and maintain project trackers, timelines, and status reports to keep stakeholders informed and aligned
• Own the master marketing calendar across launches, campaigns, and creative development
• Keep projects moving by following up early, often, and with precision
• Support creative asset routing and approval coordination to keep timelines on track

Process Optimization & Tool Ownership:
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and improve how marketing and cross-functional projects are scoped, tracked, and completed
• Manage and maintain project management tools to ensure consistency and adoption across the team
• Establish a streamlined shared filing system and oversee the migration of files and folders from legacy platforms to OneDrive

Marketing Budget & Finance Coordination:
• Own the marketing budget: update and scrub regularly, reconcile against actuals, and partner with Finance to ensure accuracy
• Issue POs, manage invoice workflows, and maintain meticulous spend tracking

Administrative & Cross-Functional Support:
• Lead the setup, tracking, and performance reporting of coupons and promotional programs, ensuring visibility into usage and impact.
• Oversee e-commerce product maintenance, including imagery, copy updates, and promotional activations
• Manage new item setup forms and coordinate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely submissions for retail readiness
• Act as a liaison between internal teams, agency partners, and vendors—scheduling meetings, sharing agendas, and ensuring alignment
• Oversee the coordination of special meetings, events and conferences (e.g. Expo West)
• Support ongoing administrative needs including calendar coordination, internal documentation, and vendor communication.

Qualifications:
• A natural organizer who thrives on checklists, timelines, and color-coded plans
• Comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out on the fly
• Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a strong sense of proactivity, ownership and follow-through
• Always looking for ways to work smarter and improve how teams operate
• Experienced in budget tracking and cross-functional coordination
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing operations, project coordination, or a similar role
Bonus: experience in CPG, food & beverage and/or working with creative teams

Cumberland Packing currently operates with a hybrid work model with staff working on-site in our Brooklyn offices 3 days a week with the option to work remotely on Monday’s and Friday’s. The Marketing Manager would be able to participate in this hybrid work model, while attending all group staff meetings, events and professional development on site when required.
