Hello, my name is Bryant, I'm looking for someone to take my lease over for my room in South Slope. Rent is $1214, utilities fluctuate from 75-150 so I put $1350 to average it out.
The apartment is located within a 5-minute walk from either 25th Street or Prospect Ave (R/N/D)
and under a 10-minute walk from 4th Ave and 9th Street (G/F, R/N/D). There are a handful of grocery stores within walking distance on 5th Ave, a couple of gyms, many great food options, and entertainment venues.
On the third floor of a quiet building, the apartment is broken up into six rooms: The rooms of the two other tenants, the living room/kitchen, the toilet room, the shower room, and the available room. The room is at the rear of the building, with minimal outside noise. The apartment has central air, heating, and cooling that the tenants can control.
The available room is 97 square feet, has pre-installed shelves, a window unit AC, and a fire escape window. As it's currently set up, I have a queen bed with a bedframe, a large desk, and a computer chair that take up a good amount of space.
Current tenants are two men, one who works primarily from home as a web/studio engineer, the other who works at a local farmstand. They are both respectful and relatively quiet. There are infrequently visitors to the apartment, and if there are, they're good at letting everyone know in advance. Both roommates are 420-friendly. The apartment is generally clean, dishes don't sit around very long and appliances are well-maintained, there is an unspoken rotation of buying household appliances.
Current tenants are hoping for someone of a similar nature, easy-going, respectful, 420-friendly, who likes to keep the home a calm environment.
I've lived in the apartment for nearly 2 years, and I am moving to Bushwick on September 1st.
For the lease takeover, the landlord requires 4 recent pay stubs and 6 months proof of payment on your current lease. The current lease for the apartment will renew June 2026.
