Hello Listings Project! I'm subletting my very nice room + separate office space from late June - mid August (to mid September is possible too).
The rooms are in a shared apartment, with the two nicest and most conscientious roommates in the world (one female / one male, around 30 years old, two of my best friends). There are two bathrooms, with one of them essentially yours.
The address is 941 Washington Ave., directly across from the Botanic Garden, and just around the corner from Prospect Park. You can walk 8 minutes north or south, and arrive at very well-connected subway stations. The neighborhood is a quiet and easygoing home base.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, with easy stair access or an elevator. There is a washer/dryer in unit, as well as a dishwasher, plants, new AC wall units in each room, and good indirect light. My room and office both face into the courtyard, so there is no street noise. It's pretty sweet. The kitchen and common space is on the small side, but plenty of space for 3 people.
The bedroom has a new queen sized bed, nice pillows, and a closet with space for folded clothes – that's basically it! It's a fairly small room, but newly renovated and gives a peaceful tidy vibe for sleeping.
Next door to my bedroom, my office is set up mostly as a home music space, with acoustic treatment etc. It has a small piano in it, but I play it only during a small window of time each day to be conscientious of my roommates and neighbors – it's not a proper rehearsal space. There's a high quality keyboard I'd be open to using with headphones, if you're a musician just let me know and we can talk. For everyone else, there is a small desk / laptop stand you can use for working from home and taking meetings. It's nice to have separation from the bedroom.
I'm a musician, choir director, and music teacher! I'm going to an artist residency this summer, and then doing some traveling.
I'm a tenant who moved in earlier this year.
I'm looking for someone who can be a clean and conscientious roommate. Both my roommates work from home in their rooms most days, but sound doesn't really carry between rooms, so it's a sweet cozy vibe with plenty of privacy for your workday.
If we move forward with the sublet, I'd ask for a month rent up front with a $1,000 security deposit. Dates are flexible, but I'll prioritize someone who wants to stay for most of the dates. I'll likely ask for a couple references. Utilities are about $100 per month in the summer, and include high speed internet.
