Hey there!

I’m opening up the extra room in my sweet little 2-bedroom cabin on a quiet canyon road in Mt. Washington. This little house is the perfect respite after a long work day. It’s a peaceful, nature-filled retreat tucked away from the city but still super accessible. There are hiking trails right outside the door, beautiful tree-lined views, and a cozy, welcoming vibe throughout the space. You can walk to coffee shops and groceries. I live here with my very gentle cats Willow and Juniper and we’re looking for the right person to share this special home.

The room is available for a 2-3 month sublet, dates are somewhat flexible but I’ll be out of the country April 25-May 25 so you would have the place to yourself. It’s fully furnished, and comes with a comfy bed, closet space, and it's own split heater/AC. The house itself has all the essentials—new kitchen appliances, a brand-new heating and cooling system, a washer and dryer (free to use), and a peaceful porch and garden area to enjoy. One shared bathroom and living room with TV. The house is perched on a hill with a small staircase going to the front door, it’s a dreamy little escape. Parking is easy on the street, and we’re within walking distance of the Metro and bus lines, making it super convenient to get around. It’s only 7 minutes to downtown and 5 to cute coffee shops.

Hike from the house up dirt trails and beautiful scenic routes of Mt Washington. Moon Canyon, Elyria canyon and the Self Realization Center all in walking distance. Views of the city, mountains and stunning sunsets.

The house has fast and reliable wifi as well as a split heater/ A/C unit in the bedroom.

The kitchen is stocked with all the basic supplies for your cooking needs. Guests have dedicated space to store groceries and snacks. Guests also have full access to the comfy living room with a large screen TV w/ subscriptions.

Willow and Juniper, my friendly cats, have their own catio and are very content. They love new folks in the house and I prefer someone who likes cats and has had their own singers their nature.

I surf and am in bed early some nights to get up for Dawn Patrol. Best match is someone who can be quiet after 9pm.

I work out of my studio which is 5 minutes away. If you would from home that’s fine.

If we want to we can split a cleaning fee, monthly or bi-monthly.
I clean up after the cats as an extra effort, but cleaning duties are split respectfully.

Utilities are not included and will be an additional charge. These range from about $65-100 per month each depending on usage. For the time you are in the space solo you will be responsible for the entirety of the utilities.

I’m an artist and spend most of my time in my studio or teaching. I’m super active in nature, involved in the community, love to read, hike and tend to be on the optimistic side. I’ve lived in collaborative and communal spaces most of my life and really enjoy sharing space in a way that feels intentional and easy. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who appreciates a quiet, peaceful home and enjoys the same kind of canyon magic that I do.

I've made some good friends through Listings Project! It's been a great way to meet like minded people and share a space. Typically the best matches are those who are creative, in the arts, traveling, in town for a project, between apartments, and/or that work mostly outside the home.

I'm very tidy in shared spaces and like for the space to always feel good. I practice and appreciate direct communication.
