I’m looking for an unfurnished room in a shared apartment, preferably in Brooklyn neighborhoods such as Bed-Stuy, Boerum Hill, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights, Carroll Gardens, Fort Greene, Gowanus, or Sunset Park.
Ideally, the apartment would be spacious and have an open, welcoming layout with plenty of natural light. Essential amenities include a dishwasher, oven/stove top, and access to an in-unit or apartment-level washer and dryer. Outdoor space would be a great bonus.
I’ve remained friends with many of my previous roommates and tend to get along well with tidy, kind, and open-minded people who have an appreciation for relaxing and beautiful spaces.
I have my own furniture and would be happy to contribute to the common spaces if necessary.
Hi! My name is Bertrand, and I'm planning to move to New York City in early 2026, ideally by January or February 1st.
I’m originally from Rwanda, but I have spent most of my life living and working around the world. I’m currently based in Atlanta working as an urban designer and planner, and have previously lived in Boston (for grad school) and Washington, DC (working in international development).
I’d describe myself as a considerate, respectful, and friendly roommate. In my downtime, I enjoy reading (The Foghorn Echoes), listening to political podcasts (Majority Report), and planning future trips (South Africa is next on my bucket list). I also love Negronis, Peruvian food, and ASICS sneakers.
I’m looking forward to spending my free time reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, exploring the city on foot, and taking advantage of everything it has to offer. I hope to find a home that will positively contribute to my time here.
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to connect!
