Hello! I’m leaving my current apartment and looking for the right fit for a very special space.
This two-bedroom apartment is on the top floor of a rowhouse on bustling Vanderbilt Avenue in the heart of Prospect Heights. The jewels of the house are the massive combined kitchen and living room, and access to a furnished private roof that’s perfect for relaxing and entertaining.
The kitchen was recently renovated and is very thoughtfully designed: great gas stove, modern fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and lots of counterspace.
The light-filled living room includes a long table perfect for hosting dinners as well as a sofa and armchairs arranged around a working fireplace. A pleasant study/reading nook overlooks the street and includes a spiral staircase that leads to the private roof.
My bedroom is the smaller of the two but can comfortably fit a queen/full bed alongside a desk and dresser. The closet is spacious, with additional storage above. Because the room is at the back of the house, it’s a very peaceful space that receives little street noise; it also overlooks a community garden.
Cheap laundry available in the basement, along with a storage unit for the apartment and a shared bike room. Heating and AC; utility costs vary by season. Wifi: $35/month.
Prime location near many excellent shops and restaurants including the Analog Stationer, Unnameable Books, Ozakaya, Panca, Ciao Gloria, Milk Bar, Nuaa Table, Weather Up, Farm. One, Patti Ann’s, Ample Hills, Zaytoons, Branded Saloon, R&D Foods, and numerous high-quality but affordable groceries. Short walk to Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, and Barclays Center.
Convenient to multiple subway lines, including:

I have loved living in this special apartment and am looking to find the right match for the space and for my wonderful roommate.
September 1 move-in date
I am the tenant who is leaving, but you’d be sharing the apartment with my friend and roommate.
About the roommate staying:
He is a writer, art critic, and museum professional. The artworks and furniture that you see in these photos are his, and will be staying in the space. As a roommate, he’s a warm presence who enjoys sharing the occasional dinner but is often out of the house; the apartment is kept as a retreat of sorts. We’re looking for a roommate who will maintain a similar relationship to the space—though of course you’d be welcome to host dinners/events on the roof from time to time as he also does!
If interested, please send me a message and include a little bit about yourself (vocation, etc) and we’ll be touch!
Deposit required. Our landlord will require proof of income and the tenant will ultimately be subject to their approval.
